Questions and answers.
Does anything I copy leave my Mac?
No. History lives in a database in your user library and SupaClip makes no network requests while you use it. It only connects to check for updates and, optionally, to confirm your license key when you enter it.
What about passwords?
Password managers mark what they copy as concealed, and SupaClip never saves those items. 1Password, Bitwarden and Keychain Access are excluded by default, and you can exclude any other app in Settings. You can also pause capture for a while from the menu bar.
macOS Tahoe has clipboard history in Spotlight. Why do I need this?
Spotlight's history is fine for the last thing you copied. It keeps items for about eight hours, has no pins, filters or previews, and only exists on Tahoe.
SupaClip keeps as much as you want for as long as you want, finds it by search, and pastes straight into the app you're in. If you copy things you'll need next week, it pays for itself.
Why does it need the Accessibility permission?
To paste, SupaClip presses ⌘V for you in the app you came from, and macOS only allows that with the Accessibility permission. It's used for nothing else, and the first launch walks you through it.
How does the trial work?
Everything is unlocked for 7 days, no account needed. After that the app keeps working with the 25 most recent items until you enter a license key.
